Story Board

This is a story board of our footage, to give us an idea of what our opening sequence would look like. We planned to follow this when we was filming our opening title sequence, although when it came to filming some scenes got changed because of the access we had. The story shows 18 shots which we have put into a story board to show camera angles and shot sizes. We decided to include a lot of close ups to create enigma so the full story wasn't given away, close up's also connote some kind of mystery which is a convention of the thriller genre. This story board was drawn by Kelly Simpson and written up by me.

Location Recce

Our location recce was taken place in an art room in school. This worked well because we was able to darken the room by shutting the blinds and using lighting equipment. We set up a day do light I increased and decreased the light source from this when I was filming from behind the main character this enhanced the lighting so he's silhouette was clear. The lights we used allowed the room to be dark but also reduced the grain so the footage was clear this also created the feel that it was set in the stalkers secrete room. The darkness portrayed the feel of the unknown which is what thriller films do to build tension.

I also filmed our footage out doors in a natural environment, the woodlands we choice were local to school. We filmed during the day therefore natural lighting was used, although we did use a reflector when filming close up of the girls face which made her eyes bright and her face clear. The location was muddy so the character wore welly boots which worked well as this connoted that the girl was young and innocent.
